RESORT 2023 CAMPAIGN
For Resort 23, there was a revisit for Maticevski. Designs developed decades ago that didn’t have a moment to shine or even be seen, have been brought back to life. There are techniques that were developed by Maticevski some 20 years ago, that have played a pivotal role in the establishment of much of the brand’s DNA.
The bias ribbon work has been draped to accentuate areas like the bosom and waist, arching and caressing over the hips and falling into cascades of floating strips of fabric. Ruffles give a nod to flamenco and the desire to perform, to get out and feel free to express and enjoy oneself comes into play. Caged beaded nests that cut into the thighs and hips hint at the notion that there is part of us wanting to escape and have fun.
