THE MODERN ENGINEERED SPACE SET THE MOST SURPRISING DIALOGUE FOR MATICEVSKI’S VISIONARY GARMENTS. SHOWCASING 29 LOOKS OF MATICEVSKI RESORT 18 COLLECTION WITH MANY HIGHLIGHTS OF COUTURE PIECES HAND-CREATED BY THE DESIGNER.
This season Maticevski explores a more masculine and linear silhouette with squared edges. A mid century touch is expanded upon with boxed corners and folds that push shapes forward and envelop the sides of the skirts. Textures are layered and enhanced throughout with subtle shimmering and glittering meshes. Brocade is heightened and contrasted against lightweight wool suiting.
In developing couture elements, Maticevski manipulates volume and proportion, layering tulle and tonal brocades. A collision of soft and sheer is contrasted against burnt desert red fabrics with Selvedges intact to highlight an igniting of the colour. a feeling that is close to Australia and close to the Maticevski brand’s core of mashing contrasting elements against one ANother.
